Bornholm is a great place for golfers in search of variety, whether you have a very low handicap or are a beginner.

With four 18-hole golf courses within less than half an hour's drive, distance is no obstacle to reaching all the courses.

Rønne is the park course with almost no wind. The Rø courses are situated in a rocky area that is both beautiful and rugged. Dueodde is a links course with fields and grazing cattle.

The different challenges presented by the courses are precisely what has made Bornholm the home of Europe's largest amateur golf tournament, the Bornholm Open, with up to 750 participants.

If you want to learn from seasoned golfers, all the Bornholm golf courses offer training areas with golf schools, even for the expert.

If you are inexperienced or want to play golf for the first time, Pay&Play at special 9-hole courses and a visit to the driving range are for you.

Rønne - Bornholm Golf Club

The Bornholm Golf Club lies close to Rønne, the largest town on the island.

The 18 holes are arranged as a parkland course in an area of natural beauty that is partly protected and has many wild fruit trees, wild orchids, broom and a rich assortment of flora and fauna. There is hardly any wind.

The par-3 Pay&Play course is very popular with beginners and inexperienced golfers.

Business golfers and groups are welcome, and most games are open to Green Fee players.

It is possible to book a round, but waiting times are generally short. The course is open all year round. There is a clubhouse with a restaurant and sun balcony.

Dueodde - Nexø Golf Club

Several of the holes on this south Bornholm course at Dueodde are reminiscent of the challenges presented by the famous links courses.

The course is close to one of Bornholm's prime beaches in an area with lots of holiday cottages. It is situated in woodland and open countryside with tricky streams and lakes, with fields and grazing cattle close by.

Guests, company golf events and groups are welcome. Reservations recommended.

There is a clubhouse with shower facilities, changing rooms, a cafeteria and a PRO SHOP.

Rø - Gudhjem Golfklub

The Gudhjem Golf Club in the north of Bornholm offers the largest golf course of Denmark. The golf course blends in perfectly with the original heathery prominence of a typical north Bornholm landscape with granite outcroppings, heather, woodland, lakes and streams.

The two golf courses in Rø have 54 holes in total and are normally open all year round. The second course is situated beautifully near the Art Museum of Bornholm with a view of the sea and to Christiansø.

Next to the two courses there is a short course with nine holes. Here you can play without being a golf club member (Pay&Play, par-3 course).

Equipment can be hired. Reservations are recommended from 1 April to 31 October.
