European Ceramic Context 2010 takes place on the island of Bornholm from 11 September - 7 November 2010 and forms part of a biennale symposium for contemporary European ceramics and glass.
European Ceramic Context presents 110 contemporary ceramic artists from 30 European countries, who are going to show their ceramic art at two large exhibitions at the Art Museum in Rø and Grønbechs Gård in Hasle.
In these two large exhibitions visitors will have the unique opportunity to experience the best of contemporary European ceramics.
A national commissioner has carefully selected artists from their country to be represented in the 2 exhibition categories: Ceramic Art and New Talent.

And at Grønbechs Gård in Hasle, emerging artists under the age of 35 years will show the new tendencies and trends from the contemporary European ceramic scene.
A prize of EUR 10.000 will be given to one outstanding artist in each exhibition category.
